One of the most common reasons that check engine lights come on is oxygen sensor failures, although the reasons could also range from minor issues like a loose gas cap, to more pressing ones, like a faulty catalytic converter.
Book your service!Your car's oil dipstick should be found near the front of the engine. Pull it out, give it a wipe, and re-insert it into the engine. Pull it back out and you should be able to tell whether you need to add more oil. Remember to replace the oil filler cap and check for any leaks.
Book your service!For the most part, you should be changing your oil every 6 months or after every 5,000km driven. Please refer to the vehicle manual or contact the dealer for more information.
Book your service!Once you've located the car battery, use a socket wrench to loosen the nut on the negative - or black - terminal first. Remove the negative terminal and repeat the process with the red - or positive - terminal. Place the new battery in reverse order, red first, then black, and reinstall the clamps and nuts.
Book your service!Your spare tire, lug wrench, and jack should all be located the trunk of your car. Remove the hubcap and use the wrench to loosen the nuts partway. Use the jack to lift the car up, then remove the nuts and the wheel. Line the spare tire up with the wheel bolts and push it into place, then replace each lug nut, working in a star pattern. Lower the car and make sure all the lug nuts are tightened.

Book your service!Make sure your car is turned off and raise the wiper arm. Detach the old blade from the arm and slide the new blade over (listen for a click to secure it).
Book your service!Pop the hood of your car and locate your coolant overflow reservoir and radiator. Make sure that the radiator is completely full, and check that the coolant level in the reservoir is at the proper level, between the "ADD" and "FULL" marks.
